About The Author
Bobbie Hamlett hails from the suburbs of the Chicago area, where she experienced a childhood filled with frequent moves. At times, she would return to the same town she had left just a year prior. Her parents possessed a gypsy spirit, which instilled in her a sense of adventure and constant change. Growing up, Bobbie often found herself as the new kid in school—a role she initially disliked, especially as a shy child. However, these experiences ultimately pushed her out of her comfort zone, shaping her into the confident individual she is today, capable of striking up conversations with anyone, anywhere.
Bobbie attended East Tennessee State University before relocating to Missouri, where she lived for several years, embracing her family’s nomadic tendencies. She now resides in Northwest Florida with her husband and three children. Her daughter even serves as the model for the book covers of the Dark Roads series. An avid animal lover, Bobbie is also a professionally trained chef.
Many years ago, during a difficult period in her first marriage, Bobbie penned Dark Roads as a creative outlet and escape. Although she was unable to publish it at that time, she held onto the manuscript until she self-published it in the spring of 2024. With the doors to self-publishing now wide open, she has an exciting lineup of future books in the works.
When she isn’t writing or working, Bobbie cherishes time spent with her family, friends, and pets, often enjoying the outdoors near the river or beach—her happy place.
